Sabrina Carpenter officially became a global pop star in 2024 with her hit album Short n’ Sweet, but her rise didn’t just happen overnight. Long before her latest project pushed her into the spotlight, Carpenter was busy building a loyal fanbase and putting out music that kept winning hearts. Now, one of her earlier albums is getting some well-deserved love again, and this week marks a very important moment for her overseas success.
Emails I Can’t Send Spends One Full Year on the U.K. Albums Chart
Sabrina Carpenter’s 2022 album Emails I Can’t Send just hit a major achievement. It has now spent 52 weeks, a full year, on the Official Albums Chart in the United Kingdom. That chart tracks the most popular albums across the country every single week.
This is the first time any album from Carpenter’s discography has stayed on the U.K. chart this long. Even better, the album moved up two spots this week, climbing to No. 68.
Short n’ Sweet Could Be Next
While Emails I Can’t Send is celebrating a full year on the charts, Sabrina Carpenter might be on track to do it again with her newest release. Short n’ Sweet, the project many are calling her big breakthrough, is still doing incredibly well in the U.K. It is holding strong at No. 2 on the Official Albums Chart this week, even after 34 weeks on the list.
If it keeps up this momentum, Short n’ Sweet could hit the one-year mark too and that would be another big win for Carpenter.
Emails I Can’t Send Sees a Boost in Streaming Numbers
The growing buzz around Sabrina Carpenter has helped boost her older albums too. Emails I Can’t Send did not just climb a little on the main U.K. albums list, it has also been performing steadily on the Official Albums Streaming Chart.
This week, the album slipped slightly to No. 72 on the streaming chart. But here is the good news: it has already spent 50 weeks there. Just a couple more weeks, and it will have a full year on that chart too.
A Surprise Comeback for Emails I Can’t Send
When Emails I Can’t Send first dropped back in July 2022, it debuted at No. 76 on the U.K. chart and quickly fell off the radar. For almost two years, the album stayed out of the spotlight in Britain.
Then came 2024. Thanks to the massive popularity of her single "Espresso" from Short n’ Sweet, new fans and old ones alike started digging into Carpenter’s earlier work. Suddenly, Emails I Can’t Send was back and it did not just reappear quietly. It climbed, stuck around, and ended up hitting a milestone Sabrina Carpenter had never reached before.
