FKA Twigs Cancels Tour Dates and Festival Shows Due to Visa Issues

British singer FKA Twigs has called off a bunch of live shows after running into what she described as “ongoing visa issues.” She didn’t go into much detail, just shared her frustration and sadness on Instagram. The canceled shows included nine dates that were supposed to happen through June 25. She was also set to perform at the AXE Ceremonia music festival in Mexico City, but that got affected too.

“It pains me to say this because I am so excited to bring you a creation that I have poured my soul into and I believe is amongst my strongest work,” she wrote. “I know this news impacts so many of you who have already made plans and spent money to see these shows.” She was also expected at Coachella later this month, but that’s off the table now. To make things worse, the day she was supposed to perform at AXE Ceremonia, part of the stage setup collapsed, leading to the tragic deaths of two photographers.

She still has shows lined up in San Francisco, New York, and Chicago as part of her “Eusexua” tour, and she said she’s trying to reschedule them soon. If you’ve got tickets to any of the canceled shows, check with the ticket seller for refund details.
