Montreal is celebrating Charlotte Cardin once again. She will be honored as the Global Woman of the Year at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music event later this month. This recognition follows her 2023 album 99 Nights winning Pop Album of the Year and Album of the Year at the Juno Awards. Last year, Cardin became the first Canadian to win Billboard’s Woman of the Year, joining icons like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Madonna, Billie Eilish, SZA, and Karol G. With hits like Confetti and Meaningless, she continues to make waves, securing another Billboard award before even releasing new music.

This year’s event will also honor Doechii as Woman of the Year, alongside stars like aespa, Ángela Aguilar, Erykah Badu, Glorilla, Gracie Abrams, Jennie, Megan Moroney, Meghan Trainor, Muni Long, Tyla, and Laverne Cox. Cardin, who previously spoke about the importance of authenticity while presenting the Icon Award to Alanis Morissette, remains a standout in the industry. The awards will take place in Los Angeles on March 29.
